The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati said that those trying to play with people’s health would not be spared at any cost. She said that strict action should be initiated against those persons who were found guilty of adulteration after examination of their samples. Many states not implementing SC/ST Act: Suresh Mane

MADURAI: It has been 20 years since the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 came into force but several states in the country, including Tamil Nadu have failed to implement the Act, said Suresh Mane, national general secretary, Bahujan Samaj Party. UP CM Ms.Mayawati releases 25 convicts on her birthday

On the occasion of her birthday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati has recommended release of 25 old and sick convicts undergoing imprisonment in various jails of the state. The government has already recommended it to Governor BL Joshi, CM Mayawati said here. BSP sweeps Uttar Pradesh council polls

 Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) made a clean sweep in the Uttar Pradesh legislative council polls, winning 31 of the 33 seats, counting for which was held on Wednesday.
